sms Hey, listen!arrow_drop_down Do you see that button over there?arrow_drop_down If you click on it, it will show you all sorts of advanced info and charts for this deck!arrow_drop_down Try it!arrow_drop_down Oh, where are my manners? My name is Liv, nice to meet you.arrow_drop_down Storm is a classic deck archetype, played plenty in other formats.arrow_drop_down But in Modern, it stayed waiting in the wings for the longest time.arrow_drop_down Was it the meta? Or just lack of confidence in the cards available for Storm in Modern?arrow_drop_down That's a meaningless question now that Storm is on the forefront of the tier 1 decks.arrow_drop_down Turns out the potential did exist, most just couldn't see it...arrow_drop_down But anyways, I'm getting myself distracted. Let's get to what matters!arrow_drop_down Storm Gifts is a combo deck where you want to get plenty of ritual spells, like Manamorphose or Pyretic Ritual onto your graveyard and hand.arrow_drop_down Then after you have enough, you go off by casting Past in Flames and using and reusing the rituals to get your storm count as high as it will go.arrow_drop_down Then you cast Grapeshot or Empty the Warrens and end the game. Easy enough, uh?arrow_drop_down The sideboard plan for Storm Gifts is relatively simple.arrow_drop_down You have extra counterspells, removal, and extra Empty the Warrens in case the opponent tries to counter you with Leyline of Sanctity.arrow_drop_down If the Leyline of Sanctity and the Leyline of the Void are common in your metagame, you might want to adjust this sideboard.arrow_drop_down Getting more Negates and Echoing Truths should make it easy to handle those.arrow_drop_down And of course, against Grafdigger's Cage you also have Shattering Spree.arrow_drop_down Lightning Bolt is here not just as removal, but as a third win condition.arrow_drop_down In case the opponent tries to get rid of your storm cards with Surgical Extraction or Extirpate.arrow_drop_down Click the menu for more details.
